OUR SUBSIDIARIES
Machinery Exchange (MXG) was founded in 1954 as a Private Limited company and is a leading service provider to the Mining, Construction, Earthmoving, Agriculture, and Transportation Industries in Zimbabwe. MXG are Earthmoving Equipment specialists that specialise in Equipment Sales, Equipment Rental, Spare Parts, Filtration, and Power Generation. In 2007 the company was purchased by the current owners and merged with Universal Engineering to form an enlarged business with more services to offer its expanding Earthmoving customer base. From 2010 the company expanded into full parts and equipment sales and distribution, by securing key dealerships with leading global brands.
“We offer a complete suite of products and services from the sales of spare parts through our ITR, and Techmax brands; the rebuild of machines and components in our world class heavy workshops, heavy engineering repairs to Buckets, H Frames, Dump Boxes, and Undercarriage, through to the sales and rental of a range of world class OEM brands – Shantui, Hitachi, Rokbak, Wirtgen, Bobcat and Bendi .“
From humble beginnings, Machinery Exchange is now based in a 9,000m2 facility with more than 250 staff, branches in Harare, Bulawayo and Hwange and over 1000 sold or rented equipment in the field.
In April 2019 Spare Parts Exchange (SPE) separated from Machinery Exchange (MXG) thus becoming its own entity and now operates alongside MXG in the greater Industrial Exchange Group (IEG). While still serving the group’s spare parts requirements, SPE sells a vast range of parts and products to numerous customers nationwide.
SPE specialises in the stocking and sales of OEM and Aftermarket spare parts for a wide range of American, European, and Chinese brands of equipment, in addition to assisting customers with all their technical queries on the products at hand.
SPE aims to provide excellent customer service by sticking to its core values of ensuring the widest range of STOCK at the best possible Price, while maintaining a level of EFFICIENCY that guarantees customer satisfaction of their equipment moving forward.
In 2010 Machinery Exchange became the sole dealer in Zimbabwe for Powerstar Trucks and since then has sold and serviced over 600 units countrywide.
With the introduction of the smaller FT range in 2019 and the addition of the Sino stable of products, it was necessary for a complete truck distribution, sales, and service company to be established. Hence the creation of Sinopower Commercial Vehicles in 2020.
Sinopower Commercial Vehicles is now the official Sinotruk and Powerstar dealer in Zimbabwe; and as part of the greater Industrial Exchange Group, Sinopower Commercial Vehicles now offers its customers a complete range of bus, truck, and trailer solutions; with full-back up on spares and support services countrywide.
Transmax Group offers a complete suite of transport services for the movement of heavy machinery and components using our fleet of step deck low beds and crane trucks.
